This farm is undergoing a radical change from what we were doing back in ’06 when we first moved here.
Our focus is to heal the land, keep the animals in top condition, and feed ourselves, our family, our neighbors, and our community nutrient dense food.
To accomplish this we changed over to a permaculture system, and started using biodynamic preparations.
Two years ago we build our first huglekulture bed and planted it with a bunch of seeds we just tossed out there and covered with a thick layer of straw. in a few months it was covered in flowers, squash, pumpkins, spinach, kale, tomatoes, strawberries, and various herbs and weeds. We let them all grow together to see how this new method would work.
